Crowda
Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
Crowda is a live feed tied to a physical place. This policy explains what
it collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in. We send a code, not a password.
- Your profile: username, name, date of birth and gender. Date of birth is used to apply age limits and is not shown to anyone.
- Your phone number, if you provide one.
- Your location, while the app is open, to find what is live near you and to confirm you are at an event you post in. We store which events you attended, not a history of where you have been.
- What you post: text, photos, stickers, reactions and replies.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use it for advertising.
- We strip location data from photos before upload, so a photo never carries where it was taken.
- We do not track you when the app is closed.
Photos and moderation
Photos are scanned automatically before anyone else can see them, by an
automated image moderation service, to detect material that is not
allowed. Photos are stored privately and are never public by URL.
If something is reported, we may review it. Content that has been flagged
is kept so that we can act on it, including after the person who posted it
has deleted their account.
Who else handles your data
- A cloud platform that hosts the database and stores files.
- An email provider that delivers sign-in codes.
- An image moderation service that scans photos before they appear.
- Apple, which distributes the app.
We can tell you exactly who these are if you ask.

Age
Crowda is for people aged 13 and over. Some venues are restricted to
people aged 18 and over. If we learn that an account belongs to someone
under 13, we remove it.
Your choices
- Block anyone. It takes effect immediately and applies in both directions.
- Report anything. Every post and reply has a report option.
- Delete your account from inside the app, under Me. This removes your profile and your personal details, signs you out permanently, and deletes your photos, except anything already flagged for review, which is kept with no name attached to it.
- Turn off location in your phone's settings. Crowda will not be able to find live events near you.
How long we keep things
Posts and replies remain while the account exists. Deleting your account
removes your personal details immediately. Content that has been reported
or flagged is kept for as long as we need it to deal with the report.
